Who am I anyway.......

Many times we ask...But who am I? I'm just_________(fill in with your name)! I don't feel I have a clear grasp of who I am; therefore, how can I ever figure out my real purpose? After all....who am I anyway? Well, if you are in Jesus, I will tell you who you are……

I am accepted!

I am God's child. John 1:12 ~ I am Christ's friend. ~ John 15:15 ~ I have been justified. Rom. 5:1 ~ I have been bought with a price. I belong to God. ~ 1 Cor. 6:19-20 ~ I am a member of Christ's body. 1 Cor. 12:27 ~ I have been adopted as God's child. Eph. 1:5 ~ I have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit. Eph. 2:18 ~ I have been forgiven of all my sins. Col. 1:14 ~ I am complete in Christ. Col. 2:10

I am safe!

I am free forever from condemnation. Rom. 8:1-2 ~ I am assured that all things work together for good. Rom. 8:28 ~ I am FREE from any condemning charges against me. Rom. 8:31-34 ~ I cannot be separated from the love of God. Rom. 8:35-39 ~ I am confident that the good work that God has begun in me will be completed. Phil. 3:20 ~ I have not been given a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and of self-control. 2 Tim. 1:7 ~ I can find grace and mercy to help in time of need. Heb. 4:16 ~ I am born of God and the evil one cannot touch me. 1 John 5:18

I am important!

I am the salt and light of the earth. Matt. 5:13-14 ~ I am a branch of the true Vine, a channel of His life. John 15:1,5 ~ I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit. John 15:16 ~ I am a personal witness for Christ. Acts 1:8 ~ I am God’s temple. 1 Cor. 3:16 ~ I am God’s workmanship. Eph. 2:10 ~ I may approach God with freedom and confidence. Eph. 3:12 ~ I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil. 4:13

Read these truths every day. Let them permeate in your soul until you are able to own each of these texts as YOUR personal description and feel confident in it. Then, you will have no problem knowing who you are, the power you possess in Him, and the purpose for your life. Amen! †

Update: Liver Biopsy - PET Scan - Treatment Changes

  As most of you already know, I had a Liver Biopsy, a PET Scan, and a Bloodwork Profile and I have waited to get all results prior to writing a blog post update. I also had a lengthy consultation with my Oncologist, Dr. Bondly, yesterday.  First, I want to start off with a Super Praise God moment! My Liver Biopsy confirmed that my cancer has not changed to Her2-. It remains ER+ Her2+. That means we have been on the right treatment path. There is a strong possibility, however, that the Femara, Letrozole, that I took for 18 months did not work. It is a hormone based chemotherapy taken orally. It was to help lower my hormone and estrogen levels which in-turn was to help fight my cancer. We will find out more about that from the genetic portion of the Liver Biopsy when the results come back in about 3 weeks. CANCER: A New Complication.....My Heart

I met today with the Cardiologist, Dr. Monica Hunter, at the Southview Cardiology, that I was referred to by my Medical Oncologist....Dr. Bondly. About three weeks ago, I did not feel well all day. I started to feel pressure on my chest and then had pain in my left arm. I took an aspirin, but never got to feeling better. I felt nauseated most of the day. I went to bed a bit earlier than usual and around 4:00 I woke up throwing up profusely. I threw-up a few times and then it stopped. I thought that maybe it was a virus, but also knew that it could be a heart issue.  When I met with Dr. Bondly last week, I told her what had occurred and she suggested that I see a Cardiologist. Since chemo and radiation can potentially cause heart issues, she did not want me to let it go unchecked. She put me on a low-grade adult aspirin until we know more.  Today, Dr. Hunter asked a lot of questions and I basically brought her up to current about my last 17 month journey with cancer. I shar

CANCER: Dark Days with the "Demon" Cancer....BUT God Shines Through! Amen!

Yesterday was a day filled with so many different emotions, senses, and information over-load....yet, so many unknowns. I had a scheduled appointment with my Oncologist, Dr. Cara Bondly for my follow-up since my last chemo treatment on January 23rd. She gave me a brief check-up and did lab work. Since I was only one week out from my bilateral mastectomy, there wasn't much for her to check physically. She did go over the pathology report from my surgery with me.  I was very disappointed to learn that following chemotherapy treatments there were still "live/active" cancer cells in one of the five lymph nodes that were removed during surgery. They were only 2 mm; however, they were active and the report could not definitively tell me if I have a live cell/cells that could have moved outside of the lymph node. At this point, we know that IF that has happened it would be very small and might not show up or be detectable for some time.  I further learned that I had a second
